ACTICHEM Pet & Flood - Urine & Flood Decontaminant - 5L

ACTICHEM Pet & Flood is a spotting solution for treating and decontaminating carpets and fabrics affected by urine and flood damage. The formula provides a three-in-one action for total urine decontamination: stain removal, odour neutralization, and bacteria elimination. It uses a blend of low pH salts to neutralize and dissolve urine crystals, effectively removing the visible stain from the fibre. A specialized microbiocidal chemistry targets and eliminates bacteria, such as E-Coli, which are commonly found in urine deposits and are a primary source of odours. In addition to urine treatment, this product is also effective for removing cellulosic browning stains that can occur on carpets and fabrics from flood damage or over-wetting. The inclusion of super-wetting and penetrating agents allows the solution to travel deep into fibres, carpet backing, and even the substrate below to treat all contaminated areas.

Directions for Use

Always read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Pre-test on an inconspicuous location for colour stability, especially on fine fabrics.

1. Using a steam extractor, remove as much of the flood water or urine spill as possible with extra dry vacuum strokes.
2. Apply Pet & Flood to the affected area. Use undiluted for severe contamination or dilute up to 1:4 with water for lesser effected areas.
3. Agitate the solution into the fibres using a carpet rake or upholstery brush.
4. Allow 10 to 20 minutes of reaction time.
5. Rinse extract the area using a compatible rinsing agent like Actichem Rinse Pro.
6. Allow to dry, assisting the process with increased ventilation.

Note: Some stubborn, older urine stains may require an additional treatment with a peroxide-based spotter.
